This bowl is a cross cut piece of solid Pecan. The outside of it retains the bark of the tree and is referred to as the "live edge". As you can see from the pictures, the natural flaws are evident. The inside shows growth rings, knots and the marks from wood eating insects. The bowl has a satin lacquer finish.
